PROGRAMS OFFERED TO INMATES

Alcoholics AnonymousIntroduces inmates to the recovery process and materials that are available.

Bible Studyavailable to all inmates who wish to participate.

High School Diploma Programprovided by USD 305 through Smoky Hill Education Center for any inmate desiring to complete their education.

Life Skills presented by Ashby House:
1. Building self esteem
2. Stress management
3. Family Health issues
4. Goal setting
5. Nutrition
6. Personal Growth and Responsibility
7. Parenting
8. Budgeting
9. Employment preparation
10. Education planning
11. Referrals to other agencies
12. Willing to research and have discussion on any other help an inmate may have.

Work Release Program-Court ordered where an inmate serving a sentence can go to their current jobwork their regular hours and return to jail at the end of their shift.

Inmate Work Program-sentenced have an opportunity to fill position with Saline County or the City of Salina and have obtained jobs with these entities when released from jail.

Mental Health Counseling-Central Kansas Mental Health Center will begin counseling sessions with inmates with mental health issues and help them transition back into the community.
