The Saline County Sheriff's Office would like to congratulate Paula Pralle on her retirement.  Mrs. Pralle worked tirelessly as the USD 305 teacher assigned to the Juvenile Detention Center, (JDC).  She has been in that position since 1997.

She taught juveniles from the age of 10 through 17.  All juveniles housed in JDC attended school while incarcerated regardless of whether they were currently enrolled, had dropped out, or even already earned their GED.  Mrs. Pralle provided challenging work for all students.  If you ask the students, their favorite class was most likely the Friday Life Skills class, better known as cooking class.  Students must have maintained good behavior all week in order to be allowed to cook and they always viewed it as a great reward.

Paula plans to relax after retirement and enjoy more time outdoors, including gardening and fishing with her husband, Leroy.

Lt. Kochanowski presents Paula with a plaque for her years of service at the Juvenile Detention Center.

Thank you Paula and have a very happy retirement.
