The 2008 Citizens Academy Class

Police and Sheriff canine handlers showed how they work with their dogs. Drug searches were demonstrated along with fleeing criminal apprehensions by the patrol dogs.
Various forms of OC spray and gas were demonstrated at the firing range. Participants were able to fire various law enforcement weapons including fully automatic tactical weapons.
Academy members participated in various scenarios on a computerized simulator trainer used by the Police and Sheriff’s agencies.
Law enforcement weapons were demonstrated and attendees had the opportunity to fire them.
Classroom presentations included accident investigations.
