December 30, 2005 Salina Police Department  Case# 2005-34475

Between December 26 and December 27, 2005, a theft was committed at Bobcat of Salina, 721 W. Diamond Dr.  Unknown persons entered the lot and removed the following items:  1-Black 32’ gooseneck flat bed trailer, 1-Orange Rhino 3 point post hole auger with 9” auger.  Total loss is estimated at $9,500.

December 23, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-28238

Between October 19 and October 20, 2005, a theft was committed at MHC Kenworth, 2301 N. Ohio.  Unknown persons removed the following item from parking lot:  1-Maroon 5’ X 10’ single axle trailer with wooden floor.  Total loss is estimated at $1,000.

December 16, 2005 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2005-5240 

Between the hours of 9:15 PM and 9:30 PM on November 25th 2005 the Friday after Thanksgiving unknown person(s) started a large stack of alfalfa hay bales on fire in the 9500 hundred block of South Centennial Rd.  Estimated loss: $21,400.00

December 9, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-32176

Between November 29 and November 30, 2005, a vehicle burglary was committed in the 2400 block Calcutta.  Unknown persons broke out the driver’s side window on a vehicle and removed the following items:  1-Clarion Pro Audio, 1-7” DVD player, 1-Total Mobile Audio Amp, 15-Music CD’s, 1-Blue and gray book bag and 1-Ford Factory car stereo.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $2,200.

December 2, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-32013

Between November 23 and November 28, 2005, a burglary was committed at a construction site, 1725 Vortex.  Unknown persons forced entry into an enclosed construction trailer and removed the following item:  1-Hilti gas powered cut off saw.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $1,488.

November 25, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-4921

During the evening hours of November 6th 2005, someone broke into the Chapel building at the Webster Conference Center located at 2601 N. Ohio St. Taken from the building were numerous U.S. postage stamps, cash and coins, 4 - Motorola two-way radios and charging stand, and book of checks belonging to Webster Conference Center. Damage was also done to doors inside the building.  Estimated loss: $829.00


November 18,  2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-28700

Between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM October 24, 2005, a theft was committed at  Bosselman’s, 1944 N. 9th.  Unknown persons entered the back of a Bosselman’s service truck and removed the following item:  1-Orange in color portable generator with a Wisconsin decal.  Total loss is estimated at $5,000.

November 11, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-29783

Between October 28 and October 29, 2005, a burglary was committed at Ferco Rental, 264 S. Broadway.  Unknown persons entered a small storage shed and removed the following item:  1-Hilti hammer drill with bits.  Total loss is estimated at $3,150.

November 4, 2005 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2005-4375

Sometime between September 16th and October 4th 2005 unknown person(s) entered a new home construction site located at 5696 Wyatt Earp’s Draw and removed a new Pella Pro-Line 29”X59” window that had not been installed in the new home from the basement area, a DeWalt 18 volt cordless drill, a portfolio outdoor wall fixture, and 3 6X6 cedar timbers from the site. Estimated loss: $750.00

October 28, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-28873

Between October 24 and October 25, 2005, a theft was committed at Peters Science Hall at Kansas Wesleyan University, 100 E. Claflin.  Unknown persons entered a classroom and removed the following items:  1-Infocus LP350 ceiling mount projector and 1-Projector mounting kit.  Total loss is estimated at $2,075.

October 21, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-26520

Between October 4 and October 5, 2005, a burglary was committed at Roberts Pump and Supply 1116 Hixson.  Unknown persons forced entry into the business and stole the following items:  69-500’ Spools of copper wire, 1- Milwaukee , Super Sawzall, 1-Dewalt handheld grinder, and  numerous hand tools.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $11,331.00.

October 14, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-3656

Between August 19th, and August 29th, 2005, someone broke into a building in the 1300 block of W. North St. Taken from the building was a green colored toolbox containing a Craftsman 3/4" inch drive socket set, a black case containing a Craftsman 19.2 volt cordless screwdriver and a cordless flashlight, a black case containing a Craftsman 19.2 volt cordless reciprocating saw, a 6' tall floor mounted drill press, several 9.5 volt Makita power tools, 5 - Makita 3/8 inch drills, a Makita saz-all, a Makita skill saw, a DeWalt nail gun, 2 large Hilti electric cement drills, a Lincoln plasma torch and air compressor, and a Lincoln arc welder with welding leads.   Estimated loss: $11,500.00

October 7, 2004 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-25789

Between September 27 and September 28, 2005, a theft was committed at the Salina South High School.  Unknown persons entered the drafting classroom and removed the following items:  1 Dell Optiplex GX280 tower computer and 1 Dell 17 inch flat screen monitor.  Total loss is estimated at $1475.

September 30, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-25687

On September 27, at approximately 1210 PM, an elderly female was robbed in the 600 block of Johnstown.  She was approached from behind by the suspect who grabbed items from her small shopping cart.  Stolen items include a purse with contents and a bag of ice.  The suspect is described as a white male in his 20’s, 5’8”-5’10” tall with brown hair.  He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.  The suspect left running northbound on Front Street.

September 23, 2005 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2005-3890

Between the hours of 10:30 AM and 8:00 PM on September 4th 2005 unknown person(s) entered a residence located at 4120 South Brownhill Rd and removed two Navajo rugs that were orange and black with yellow accents, a original Billy Cook saddle, a custom made dark brown saddle with a lot of silver on it, bits and headsets that matched the two stolen saddles, a Bose Wave radio, a Bose CD player, several diamond rings, diamond earrings, a peal necklace, and  two diamond necklaces.  Estimated loss: $37,395.00

September 16, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-24291

Between September 13 and September 14, 2005, a vehicle and residential burglary was committed in the 400 block of south 10th Street.  Unknown person or persons broke a window out of a 1992 Chevrolet Suburban parked in the driveway to gain entry.  The subjects also entered the residence and stole a Glock brand model 17, 9mm semiautomatic pistol, 4 DVD's, a cup holder and miscellaneous coins.  Loss and damage is estimated at $850.00.

September 9, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-23014

On September 1, 2005, a high school soccer game was being played at Salina Stadium.  During the game, unknown persons threw several smoke bombs onto the artificial tuff.  There were three areas on the field that were melted from the heat of the smoke bombs.  Total damage is estimated at $1200.       

September 2, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-3652

Between the dates of August 19th and 20th, 2005, someone broke out a glass window and entered the Kenwood Hall building. An auction was to take place on Saturday August 20th, and items to be auctioned were stored inside. Taken from the building was a Civil War Dog River Confederate Cavalry saber, a model 1860 Staff & Field officers saber with P. Sullivan on the blade, an India Cavalry sword, a Japanese Samurai sword with a 22-1/2 inch blade, 2 Japanese Samurai swords with 20 inch blades, several 'tin-type' photographs and a very rare Circa 1730 German clip point cavalry hanger.   Estimated loss: $5700.00

August 26, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-21558

Between August 18 and August 19, 2005, a burglary was committed at Sacred Heart High School, 234 E. Cloud.  Unknown persons entered a locked storage shed and removed the following items:  20 Rawlings footballs with “SHHS” written on them, 3 orange kicking tees.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $840.

August 19, 2005  Salina Police Department Case# 2005-19898

During the late evening hours August 2, 2005, a vehicle burglary was committed in the 800 Block of Vassar.  Unknown persons broke out the window of a 1999 Jeep Cherokee and stole a purse from inside.  The purse contained the following items:  Women’s size 7 gold wedding band with 6 diamonds,  $400 currency and a women’s wallet and contents.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $1302.

August 12, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-3354

On August 1st 2005, someone broke into a shed in the 4300 block on N. Niles road. Taken from the shed was a Miller brand Mig Welder, a Miller brand portable gas welder, a welding torch set, a welding cart with gas bottles, 2 Stihl model 64 chainsaws, 4 Mexican Roper brand horse saddles, 2 Wild County radial tires, and a Snap-On toolbox containing Snap-On and Craftsman hand tools.  Estimated loss: $11,950.00 dollars.

August 5, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-19826

Between July 31 and August 2, 2005, a theft was committed at Sam’s Club, 2919 Market Place.  Unknown persons entered the store during business hours and stole the following items:  15 Memory sticks;  2 Olympus digital cameras; 10 DVD movies; and 9 Playstation 2 video games.  Total loss is estimated at $2,049.00.

July 29, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-19059

Between June 3 and June 8, 2005, a theft was committed at the Salina Health Education Foundation, 501 S. Santa Fe.  Unknown persons entered an office and removed the following items:  One Dell Inspiron 8200 Laptop computer and three Olympus Digital recorders.  Total loss is estimated at $2330.

July 22, 2005 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2005-3117

Between the hours of 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM on July 15th 2005 unknown person(s) entered a residence located at 6749 West Falun Rd and took a Ruger Security Six 357 magnum revolver and a Sony 4 piece stereo with speakers and cabinet from inside the residence.  Estimated loss: $800.00

July 15, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-17614

Between 4:30PM on July 8 and 10:00AM on July 9, 2005, a theft occurred at Westar Energy, 1001 Edison Place.  Unknown persons cut a chain from the padlocked gate to a fenced storage lot.  The following items were stolen:  35 spools of solid copper bare wire, weighing 25 pounds each;  Two orange 6’ long Echo brand tree pruners;  One Makita brand weed eater.  Total loss is estimated to be in excess of $3300.

July 8, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-17071

Between July 4 and July 5, 2005, a burglary and theft was committed at Concept’s Customs, 900 N. Santa Fe.  The exterior wall of an outdoor shed was torn off and a PUMA brand Air Compressor was removed from the building.  The air compressor is approximately two feet wide and six feet tall, weighing over 200 pounds.  Loss and damage is estimated at $ 1,950.00.

July 1, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-2262  

Between the dates of May 26th 2004 and May 12th 2005, someone took a gray colored 1947 Willys pickup truck that was being stored in a pasture in the 9300 block of S. Whitmore Rd. The Willys truck had numerous parts in the bed that were going to be used in the restoration of the truck. The truck did not run and had to be removed from the pasture on a trailer. Estimated loss: $1800.00

June 24, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-14076

During the night on June 6, 2005, building materials were stolen from a construction site in the 400 block of W. Cloud.  Items stolen include:  (50) 1x8 Cedar Fence planks 8’ long;  (12) 4x4 Cedar fence posts 12’ long;  (300) metal wall building studs.  The loss is estimated at $ 2,200.00.

June 17, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-13603

At 1:53 AM June 3, 2005 an aggravated robbery was committed at Dominos Pizza, 2100 S. 9th.  Two men entered the business through the back door and demanded money.  One man was armed with a handgun and was wearing a green sweatshirt and had a bandana covering his face.  The other male was wearing blue sweatshirt and had a bandana covering his face.  The suspects left the area in an unknown direction.

June 10, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-2446

Between the dates of April 18th, and May 12th, 2005, someone took two Dell Inspiron 1150 laptop computers from Ell-Saline Elementary School located at 1757 N. Halstead road. The laptop computers had mobile Intel Pentium 4 processors, 14-inch XGA screens, DVD-ROM drives, internal modems and Windows XP software.  Estimated loss: $2000.00

June 3, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-12570

Between 2:00PM on May 22 and 4:00PM on May 23, 2005, a trailer and contents were stolen from a back yard in the 100 block of S. Third.  The trailer is described as a White 2001  H + H Brand  6’ x 12’ enclosed, single axle, box trailer.  At the time of the theft, the trailer contained toolboxes, welding equipment and miscellaneous tools.  The value of the trailer and contents is estimated at $12,700.00.

May 27, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-12546

Between 3:00 PM May 22 and 9:00 AM May 23, 2005, a car trailer was stolen from the 400 block of  Forrest.  Stolen was a black 20’ equipment trailer.  The equipment trailer has a wood floor and fold up ramps.  The trailer was last seen being pulled from the area by a maroon Chevrolet pickup.  The trailer is valued at $1500.

May 20, 2005 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2005-1819 

Between April 24th and April 30th 2005 unknown person(s) entered a machine shed located at 5124 West Coronado Heights Rd and removed a set of Snap On wrenches. Missing is 15 wrenches 3/8 inch to 1 ¼ inch. Estimated loss: $500.00

May 13, 2006 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-11121

Between 6:00 PM May 8 and 6:00 AM May 9, 2005, unknown persons entered Salina Central High School, 650 E. Crawford and removed the wooden hand carved Mustang from the building.  The Mustang is about 7’ tall and 4’ wide and weighs several hundred pounds.  The Mustang was found at Indian Rock Park.  The Mustang is valued at $2500.

May 6, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-9447

Between 3:30 PM April 20 and 7:00 AM April 21, 2005, a car trailer was stolen from the 400 Blk. N. 7th Street.  Stolen was a black 1994 20’ Goldstar car trailer with a 2” ball hitch.  The trailer was bearing Kansas tag TGZ431 and is missing the right side fender.  Total loss is estimated at $800.

April 29, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office  Case# 2005-1746

On February 9th, 2005, between the hours of 9AM and 5PM someone took a 2001 semi box trailer that is white in color with the words Land Star Ranger on the sides and back. The words were blue in color. The trailer number of 638198 was displayed on the front and back of the trailer. The trailer was taken from Philips Lighting in the south Salina industrial area.  Estimated loss: $25,000.00

April 22, 2005 Salina Police Department Case#’s 2005-7702, 2005-7737, 2005-7984

Between 2:30 AM April 2 and 2:00 PM April 5, 2005, three vehicles were damaged while parked in the 400 and 500 block of W. Prescott and in the 400 block of Yale.  The vehicles, 1990 Lincoln Town Car, 1988 Oldsmobile, and 1978 Chevrolet Suburban, each had an unknown caliber bullet hole in the door.  Total damage is estimated at $400.

April 15, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-8704

At about 4:15 PM April 13, 2005, a robbery occurred at Sunflower Bank, 2450 S. 9th.  The suspect entered the bank and passed a note to the teller and demanded money.  After receiving the money, the suspect exited the west door and was last seen walking northwest from the bank.  The suspect is described as a white male late 30’s early 40’s, 6’2”, dark brown balding hair, wearing a black leather jacket and dark gray pants or jeans.

April 8, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-1188

Between March 18th and march 20th 2005 unknown person(s) broke into a grain bin that was used as a storage shed located at 10420 East Mentor Rd and took an orange and black tool box containing assorted hand tools. Also taken from the grain bin were two impact wrenches, a set of deep sockets for the impact wrenches, a Crescent brand set of hand tools in original case, and an unknown brand of 3/8-inch sockets.  Estimated loss: $ 500.00

April 1, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-7128, 7327, 4808, and 7409.

Between March 27, 2005 and March 29, 2005 there were four business burglaries committed at the following locations:  Pump Mart 1118 N. 9th;  (2) Rod’s Total #2 1339 N. 9th; and Corner Store 842 N. Santa Fe.  Each business had the front glass door shattered and entry was made into two of the businesses.  Once inside, the following items were stolen:  Swisher Sweet Black and Mild cigars, Keystone Light beer and Blackstone cigarettes.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $1293.00.

March 25, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-2077

Sometime between December 8, 2004 and January 18, 2005, a Residential Burglary was committed in the 2400 Block of Belmont.  Entry was gained into the residence by unknown means.  Once inside, the following items were stolen:  K-State Queen size quilt;  .74 carat yellow gold diamond ring;  Nike Shox hot pink shoes; Red and Black Parka;  K-State T-shirt;  and a Black and Decker 3/8” electric drill.  Total loss is estimated at $6960.00.

March 18, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-746

Between February 4th and February 18th 2005, someone entered a locked storage shed in the 1400 block of N. Simpson Rd. Taken was a blue and white colored 1997 Tigershark Monte Carlo model 640 2-seater jet ski, a blue and white colored 1998 Tigershark model TS 770 three-seater jet ski, two blue colored jet ski covers, a 1997 white colored TowGo single-axle double jet ski trailer, a Hydro Shark ski tube with ski rope, and sand anchor.   Estimated loss: $5300.00

March 11, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-5026

Sometime between February 25, 2005 and March 2, 2005 a car hauling trailer was stolen from the 800 Block N. 4th.  The trailer was parked in a vacant lot.  The car trailer is a black S & S double axle trailer with a wooden floor.  The trailer had no tag at the time of the theft.  The loss is estimated at $750

March 4, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-4280, 2005-4782, 2005-4785

Sometime during the night of February 21, 2005, a Business Burglary was committed at Priscilla’s, 2144 Planet Ave.  Entry was gained by breaking out the front window.  Once inside, the following items were stolen:  DVD movies, two (2) blow up dolls.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $960.

Sometime during the night of February 22, 2005, another Business Burglary was committed at Priscilla’s, 2144 Planet Ave. and the adjoining business of The Sprint Store, 2146 Planet Ave.  Entry was gained to The Sprint Store by removing a panel on the air conditioning unit on the roof.  Once inside, US currency was stolen.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $2000.

Entry was then gained to Priscilla’s through a doorway shared with The Sprint Store.  Once inside Priscilla’s, 30 DVD movies were stolen.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $1220.

February 25, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-703

Between the hours of 9:00AM and 10:15AM on February 18th 2005 a black male entered a residence located at 6797 East Country Club Rd and took numerous pieces of jewelry including a 1 karat diamond necklace with matching ¼ karat diamond earrings, a large diamond ring with smaller diamonds around the large stone, a Mothers Ring with a large red Ruby in the center and four smaller birth stones on each side of the ruby, an antique U.S. coin made into a necklace, a silver wedding ring with 3 diamonds recessed in the band, a western style silver belt buckle, a coin collection, and cash. The black male suspect was seen leaving the residence in a dark colored passenger car.  Estimated loss: $30,000.00

February 18, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-3677

Between the hours of 6:30 PM on February 14, and 8:30AM on February 15, 2005, a burglary was committed in the 1400 block of E. Iron at an apartment complex.  Stolen was a 49” Zenith HD TV valued at $ 1820.00.

February 11, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2005-3017

Between February 5, 2005 and February 7, 2005 an enclosed work trailer was forcibly entered while it was parked at a storage facility at 2141 Centennial.  Once inside, the following items were stolen: Two Porter Cable air compressors, Porter Cable table saw, two Dewalt miter saws, Yellow toolbox containing miscellaneous tools, two Framing nailers, five Air nailers, two Sanders.  Total loss is estimated at $1551.00

February 4, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case# 2005-160

Between the dates of December 29th, 2004 and January 12th, 2005, a Morton building in the 100 block of N. Woodward Rd. was shot repeatedly with a .22 caliber weapon. The bullets traveled through the metal siding of the building and struck a 32-foot Motor Home parked inside the building causing damage to the Motor Home siding and windows.  Estimated loss: $9600.00

January 28, 2005 Salina Police Department Case#2005-2066

Between 6:00 AM and 2:40 PM January 26, 2005, a Residential Burglary was committed in the 800 Block of Cherokee.  Entry was gained through a rear door.  Once inside, the following items were stolen:  Sony Digital Camcorder, Various pearl and diamond jewelry, Camera,  Woman’s purse and contents.  Total loss is estimated at $2796.00

January 21, 2005 Salina Police Department Case#2005-1587

At approximately 11:00 PM, January 18, 2005, a 2000 model white Toyota Celica 2 door was damaged in the 600 block of Carl in Salina.  The vehicle received broken windows and a broken taillight.  Damage is estimated at $1,950.00.

January 14, 2005 Saline County Sheriff’s Office Case#2004-4552

Between the hours of 8:00 PM on December 27th and 6:00 AM on December 28th 2004 unknown person(s) set fire to 103 large round bales of alfalfa that were sitting on the edge of a pasture located in the area of Summit Road and Cooley Road in Southwest Saline County.  Estimated loss: $12,000.00

January 7, 2005 Salina Police Department Case# 2004-31946

Between December 9 and December 10, 2004, a Business Burglary was committed at Santa Fe Phillies and Subs, 145 N. Santa Fe.  A small safe was stolen from inside the business, which contained cash and checks.  Total loss is in excess of $3000.
