December 25, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-4689 and 2009-5198

On November 3rd and December 5th, 2009, items were stolen from a pasture in the 8000 block of West Cloud Street.  The items stolen were four Pro-Comp brand aluminum rims with 16" tires taken off a 1976 Ford F250 pickup, a black 18' by 8' car trailer, and a black flat bed for a Dodge pickup.  The flat bed has a head ache rack and a pop up 2 5/8" trailer ball attached to it.  Estimated loss is $3,540.00.

December 18, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-31608

Sometime in the early morning hours of December 14, 2009 a person or persons fired shots into the occupied residence of 710 North 5th Street.  The house was struck several time by medium caliber handgun bullets and a single shotgun blast.  A small gray or silver Ford SUV was seen leaving the area.  No one was injured in the incident.  Total damage is estimated at over $500.00.


December 11, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-30702

Sometime between 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM on December 3, 2009, a burglary was committed at 221 South 12th Street, Apt. D.  Unknown person or persons entered the apartment and removed 2-Xbox 360's, a Wii game system, Dell laptop computer, digital camera, and an I Pod Touch.  Loss is estimated at over $2,100.00

December 4, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-5154

On December 2nd unknown person(s) forced their way through a garage door and removed jewelry and weapons from a home located at 1541 East Water Well Road.  The guns stolen from the residence were a D. H. Ballard CW sniper carbine, a Bauer .25 caliber automatic revolver with ivory handles, an Italian Heary .36 caliber single action revolver, a Remington model 4 .22 caliber rifle, a Winchester model 68 .22 caliber rifle, a Hopkins & Allen rolling block .22 caliber rifle, a Winchester model 67A .22 caliber rifle, a Stevens Little Scout .22 caliber rifle, a Steven Marksman .22 caliber rifle, a Winchester model 37 .410 gauge shotgun and a Steven .410/.22 over & under rifle.  Also taken was a necklace with a South African Krugerrand coin mounted on the necklace, 20 gold and silver necklaces, and a Bowie knife.  Estimated loss: $7,095.00.

November 27, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009*29824

Sometime during the night of November 20, 2009, a burglary was committed at Martinez Complete Car Care, 739 North 10th Street.  Unknown person or persons forcibly entered the business through the back door.  Once inside, the suspects removed a Snap-On vehicle scanner, Snap-On fuel pressure scanner, and US currency.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $5,900.00.


November 20, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-29442

Sometime during the early morning hours of November 16, 2009, a vehicle burglary was committed at Quality Inn and Suites, 2110 W. Crawford.  Unknown person or persons broke a window on a 2006 Ford F250 and gained entry.  Items taken from inside the vehicle include an Apple notebook computer, two camouflaged bags containing hunting clothing , and a Glock .40 caliber semi automatic handgun.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $5,400.00

November 13, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-45559

On October 27th, 2009 a home was burglarized at 2166 N. Weaver Road in New Cambria, KS.  The suspect(s) stole a 52" Sony flat screen TV, a black Sony home theatre with a 5 disc changer, 2 black Sony tower speakers, 2 black Sony 4 x 6 speakers, and a black Sony 120GB PlayStation 3 with the controllers.

November 6, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-27031

At about 2:50 AM 10.19.09 a burglary was committed at Rod's Total, 1339 North 9th Street.  Unknown persons backed a pick up truck into the front of the building breaking out the glass.  The suspects put a chain around the ATM machine and drove off pulling the machine out of the store.  One suspect is described as a white male wearing tan or yellow gloves, black stocking cap and dark blue coat.  The vehicle is a white regular cab Chevrolet pickup with a silver tool box in the back.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $6,000.00.

October 30, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009- 27552

Sometime during the night of October 24, 2009, a burglary was committed at Mokas, 109 N. Santa Fe.  Unknown person or persons shattered the window in the rear door using a brick.  Once inside, the suspects forced open two cash registers and removed the money.  A Delphi XM radio receiver was also taken.  Loss and damage is estimated at $6,100.00.

October 23, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-4319

Sometime on October 12th unknown person(s) stole a gray 2008 Chevrolet 2500 3/4 ton crew cab pickup with Kansas License plate 986BRB from Farmers and Ranchers located at 1500 West old 40 Highway.  The truck has a six foot bed and had a Midway Motors license plate on the front.  Estimated loss is $30,000.00

October 16, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-25190

Sometime during the night of September 27, 2009, a residential burglary was committed at 2060 Harold.  Unknown person or persons forcibly entered the front door of the residence and removed a Sanyo 50" plasma TV.  A red 2009 Suzuki 4 X 4 ATV was also taken from the garage.  The total loss and damage is estimated at over $7400.00.

October 9, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-25869

Sometime during the evening of October 3rd and early morning of October 4th, 2009 a residential burglary was committed at 2538 Dundee Land.  Unknown person or persons forcibly entered the residence and removed $63,000 dollars.  Loss and damage is estimated at $64,000.00.

October 2, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-3960

Sometime between September 13th - September 18th, unknown person(s) entered two garages located at 1915 North Donmyer Road.  The suspect(s) removed 5 saddles, one being a Colorado Saddlery saddle, 12 bridles, 20 reins, 4 halters, 7 saddle blankets, 1 tan saddle pad, 1 red air bubble, 1 red Radio Flyer wagon with inflatable tires and a 5 gallon gas can.  Estimated loss it $6,895.00.

September 25, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-21982

Between August 22 and August 24, 2009, a theft was committed at Bobcat of Salina, 721 W. Diamond Drive.  Unknown person or persons entered the lot and removed a black and orange Bobcat 66" utility grapple with a 55" top grapple attachment.  Loss is estimated at $2, 300.00.

September 18, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-23708

Sometime during the night of September 11, 2009, a burglary was committed at the First United Methodist Church, 122 North 8th Street.  Unknown person or persons broke a window and entered the church.  Once inside a Hewlett Packard laptop computer, a Sony digital camera, and a Cannon XL2 camera were removed.  Loss and damage is estimated at $9,700.00

September 11, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-3493

Sometime between August 20th - August 21st, unknown suspect(s) entered a Morton building located at 6590 East Stimmel Road.  The suspect(s) were able to fit between rebar that was attached to the window of the building.  Once inside the building the suspect(s removed various power tools, wrenches, a M1 Carbine rifle, an Interarms .22 caliber long rifle, and a bear rug.  The suspect(s) used a dolly from the building to move the stolen items to the road.  Estimated loss is $5,184.00.

September 4, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-21411

Sometime between 1:00 PM and 3:45 PM on August 20th, 2009, a residential burglary was committed at 1924 East Ash.  Unknown person or persons forcibly entered the residence and removed numerous items.  Among the items taken was a Canon FS11A video camera, two strong boxes containing a coin collection to include 1809 Pennies, 1995 Silver Dollars, Morgan Silver Dollars, 3 cent pieces and various other coins.  Estimated loss and damage is $5,500.00

August 28, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# Multiple cases

Between June 10 and July 22, 2009, there have been 23 reports of vehicle burglaries.  All of the vehicles were equipped with a key pad entry system.  The suspect or suspects were able to enter a code and gain access into the vehicle to remove various items.  Total loss is estimated at over $11,000.00.

August 21, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case#2009-3201

Sometime between July 25th and August 2nd unknown person(s) have stolen the following items from 1322 West North Street.  250 pounds of clean aluminum scrap, two 10'X8" stainless steel augers, the radiator and hood for a 1960's model Chevy Camaro, and the radiator for a 1983 Chevy Impala.  Estimated loss is $2,450.00

August 14, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2008-1792

On January 21, 2008, 56 year old Beverly Logan was found murdered in her home, 1200 E. Iron.  Beverly lived alone and worked in the health care field.  Investigation has revealed there may have been two (2) Ashton-Drake Galleries life like porcelain dolls taking during the crime.  The dolls are approximately 10" tall and have "real touch" vinyl skin.

The Salina Police Department is asking anyone with information pertaining to the crime to contact (785) 826-7210 or call Crime Stoppers at (785) 825 TIPS where you may receive a cash reward up to $1,000.00 for information leading to an arrest and you are not required to give your name.  In addition to the Crime Stoppers reward, a $5,000.00 cash reward is offered for the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for the homicide of Beverly Ann Logan.

August 7, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-16412

Sometime between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM July 3, 2009, a theft  occurred at Dean Evan's Stadium, 1201 Markley.  Unknown person or persons entered a 2006 Ford Explorer and removed a set of Taylor Made golf club and bag, a set of Tommy Amour golf clubs and bag, a Garmin NUVI 255T GPS, a Cobra radar detector, and a Samsun cell phone.  Loss is estimated at over $2000.00.

 
July 31, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-3057

Between July 24th, 2009 and the early morning hours of July 25th, 2009 a vehicle was broken into while parked in the parking lot of Outlaws Nightclub, 1676 W. State St.  A fifty pound anchoring weight was used to shatter the passengerís side window of the vehicle.  Stolen from the vehicle were the victimís giraffe striped purse with purple stripes and a brown purse with rhinestones.  The purses contained the victimís cash, credit cards, debit card, and her check book.  The total loss and damage from this theft is estimated at over $1,400.00.   

July 24, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-17964

Sometime during the evening of July 17, 2009, a theft occurred in an open field near Chapel Ridge Apartments, 2363 Chapel Ridge.  A teenage boy set his Medtronic Paradigm insulin pump down while he played.  When he came back, the insulin pump was gone.  Loss is estimated at $7000.

July 17, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-16222

Sometime during the night of July 1, 2009, a burglary was committed at Waters True Value, 460 South Ohio.  Unknown person or persons forcibly entered the business through a green house window.  Once inside, the suspects located a safe, forced it open and removed the money.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $9,000.00

July 10, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-2642

Between June 26th 2009 and June 29th 2009, burglars stole numerous food and meat products from Farmers and Ranchers Restaurant located at 1540 W. Old 40 Highway.  Also taken in the burglary was $500.00 cash, miscellaneous candy products, and four 12 packs of Pepsi.  The total loss is $1,620.00.

June 26, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-15108

Sometime during the night of June 21, 2009, a burglary was committed at Midwest Music, 210 S. Santa Fe.  Unknown person(s) forcibly entered the business and removed a natural wood color Fender Acoustic Guitar and a Boss GT-10 Guitar Effects Process.  Loss and damage is estimated at $1,840.00

June 19, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-2297

Sometime between June 6th and June 7th, unknown person(s) forced entry into an unoccupied residence located at 2832 East Crawford Street.  Once inside the suspects removed all the exposed copper pipes inside the house and removed the air conditioner unit that was attached to the outside of the house.  The loss is estimated at $1,500.00.

June 12, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-12810

Sometime between May 21 and May 28, 2009, a burglary was committed at Gold Medallion Collision, 2410 N. 9th Street.  Unknown person or persons forced entry into the business and took a Milwaukee core drill, Campbell double tank air compressor, Matrix Laser measuring set, BVA automotive electrical pumps, Dell computer, and various other hand and power tools.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $15,000.00.  

June 5, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-12913

Sometime during the night of May 28, 2009, a theft was committed at 1434 Franklin.  Unknown person or persons took a Craftsman 6 drawer roll away tool cabinet containing numerous Craftsman and Snap On tools from the driveway of the residence.  Loss is estimated at $3,800.00.

May 29, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-1936

Sometime between May 8th and May 12th, unknown person(s) stole a homemade flatbed trailer from MDF Industries located at 1012 North Marymount Road.  The trailer is an 8' x 16' dual axle primer grey trailer with Kansas tag TME550.  The trailer has the VIN number KS106903 welded onto the trailer.  Estimated loss is $300.00

May 22, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-12018

At about 12:37 AM May 20, 2009, a burglary was committed at the Corner Store, 842 N. Santa Fe.  An unknown suspect broke the front glass door and entered the business and removed numerous lottery tickets.  Surveillance video shows a suspect walk up to the front door and break the glass out with a rock.  The suspect is described as a white male with a shaved head wearing a green shirt with white sleeves.  He was last seen leaving the area on a bicycle.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $400.00.

May 15, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# Multiple

Between February 1 and May 12, 2009, there have been 76 reports of bricks or rocks being thrown through residential windows.  These crimes have occurred throughout the City of Salina but the majority have been in the area south of Crawford Street, west of Broadway Blvd, and north of Cloud Street.  Total damage is estimated at over $12,000.00.

May 8, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-1679

On April 24, 2009 unknown subjects burglarized a home located at 3217 South Lightville Road in Saline County.  The suspect(s) damaged a glass door to gain entry and once inside stole two red tins containing quarters and assorted coins.  The estimated loss from this burglary is $300.00.

April 24, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-7257, 2009-7421, and 2009-8615

Sometime during the nighttime hours of March, 31, April 2 and April 14, 2009, Ewy Animal Hospital, 545 E. North , was burglarized.  An unknown suspect forced entry into the business and took cash and medication.  A picture of the male suspect was captured by surveillance video.  he is wearing a light colored hoodie sweatshirt with "Senior" printed on the front.  We are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the unknown suspect.  Estimated loss and damage is $1,200.00.

April 17, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-8770

At 11:30 PM April 16, 2009 an aggravated robbery was committed at the Sonic Drive in, 2615 Market Place.  The manager secured the business and went to his vehicle.  He was then approached by three men and ordered out of his vehicle at gunpoint.  The suspects took the business bank bah and personal property from the victim and fled the area on foot.  Colton Dale, 19 was identified as one of the suspects and was later arrested.  The identity of the other two suspects is unknown.

April 10, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-7807

Sometime during the morning of April 6, 2009, a residential burglary was committed at 931 N. 7th.  Unknown person or persons entered the home through an unsecured window.  Once inside, a Compaq laptop computer, numerous gold rings, and several gold necklaces were removed.  Loss is estimated at over $2,100.00.

April 3, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-7131 and 2009-7134,

Sometime during the night of March 28, 2009 burglaries were committed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 251 S. 7th, and Quayle United Methodist Church, 725 Commanche.   Unknown person or persons forced entry into each building.  Once inside, an Apex DVD player, a digital camera, and cash were removed.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,600.00.

March 27, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-1057

Sometime between March 14th, 9:00 PM and March 15th, 9:00 AM unknown person(s) stole a brown 1983 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale with Kansas tag 447BKU.  The car was parked in front of 149 East 1st Street, Assaria.  Inside the car was a black in color Black and Decker tool box containing miscellaneous Craftsman, Black & Decker, and Snap-On tools; two unknown brand fishing poles with Zebco reels; two black fishing tackle boxes; blankets; and several unknown brand tape measures and speed squares.  Estimated loss is $2,790.00.

March 20, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-6077

Sometime between March 15 and March 17, 2009, a burglary was committed at 222 S. Front.  A detached garage was entered by unknown person or persons and several items were removed to include a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle, a 30 gallon air compressor, a red and black Pitbull motorcycle lift, a Remington 12 ga. shotgun and miscellaneous power tools.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $10,000.00.

March 13, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-4977

Sometime during the night of March 3, 2009, a residential burglary was committed at 816 Highland.  Unknown person or persons forcibly entered the residence and removed numerous items.  Among the items taken were a Browning 20 ga. shotgun, a Benelli 12 ga. shotgun, a 1900 flying Eagle $20 gold piece, Mickey Mantle baseball cards, a Hamilton antique gold watch, a Canon Powershot digital camera, a Minolta SLR camera, and a Sky caddie gold GPS.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $5,000.00

March 6, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-551

Sometime between January 31st and February 3rd unknown person(s) entered a shed located at 10420 East Mentor Road and stole an air compressor.  The air compressor is a Coleman Power Mate Magna Force 7hp 220v air compressor and is valued at $400.00

February 27, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-984

Sometime during the night of January 12, 2009, a burglary was committed at T & A polishing, 812 N. 9th.  Unknown person or persons forcibly entered the business and removed several Snap-ON, Mac and Matco hand tools.  Also taken was a Poulan chainsaw, a Makita electric saw, and 2-12" JL 1000 watt subwoofers.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $12,000.00.

February 20, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-3875

At about 1:57 AM February 19, 2009, shots were fired into an occupied dwelling at 216 N. Oakdale.  Three bullet holes from a small caliber firearm were located in the residence.  No one was injured.

February 13, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-604

Sometime on February 6th between 10:00 PM and midnight, unknown person(s) removed a custom made saddle from a red 1989 Chevy truck, which was parked at the El Zarape nightclub at 1334 W. North Street.  The saddle was black in color and had white curly "s" figures stamped all over the saddle with the trim of the saddle being silver.  The estimated loss is $1,400.00.

February 6, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-2705

Sometime during the night of February 4, 2009, a burglary was committed at the Kansas Department of Transportation, 1006 N. 3rd.  Unknown person(s) forcibly entered the business and removed two HP laptop computers, a Kodak Easy Digital Camera and an unknown brand DVD/VCR player.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $3,400.00


January 30, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-2006, 2009-2011 and 2009-2982

Sometime during the night of January 26, 2009 windows were broken at three liquor stores in Salina.  The front window was broken and a 12 pack of Budweiser Light beer stolen at Phil's Liquor Store, 2300 Plant.  A window was also broken at Bo's Liquor Store, 2745 Belmont and East Crawford Wine and Spirits, 2109 East Crawford.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $1,512.00.

January 23, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2009-322

On January 19th an unknown black female used a stolen debit card at the following locations; Green Lantern Convenience Store located at 1100 East Iron, Wal-Mart located at 2900 South 9th and the Iron Pump located at 418 East Iron.  On January 20th the female suspect again used the debit card at the Green Lantern Convenience store.  At each location, the female suspect used the debit card at the ATM machines.  On the 19th the female suspect was wearing a black hooded coat with the number "77" on the back.  The female was also accompanied by a female child.  The child was a black female approximately 5-6 years old, wearing a gray coat, and was carrying a purse.  On the 20th the female suspect was wearing a white or light gray hooded coat.  A picture of the female suspect was captured by surveillance video.  We are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the unknown black female suspect.  Estimated loss in this case is $1,470.00

January 16, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-542

Sometime between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM January 7, 2009, a theft was committed in the 1000 block of North 11th.  Unknown person or persons removed a 4'X8' utility trailer with a folding rear ramp that was parked in the street.  A 2007 black and orange Yamaha Raptor 350 Limited Edition ATV was on the trailer at the time of the theft.  Total loss is estimated at $5,900.00.

January 9, 2009 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-515

Sometime during the night of January 6, 2009, a burglary was committed at Dental Care of Salina, 700 S. Front.  Unknown person(s) forcibly entered the business and removed cash from the safe and damaged property within.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1100.00

January 2, 2009 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2008-5274

On December 12th between 1:00 AM and 9:15 AM unknown suspects(s) removed a BGE General Electric home air conditioning unit from 2485 East North Street, Salina.  The air conditioning unit was cut away from the house and removed by an unknown vehicle.  The air conditioning unit is described as being about 3 1/2 feet tall, and 4 feet wide and is grey in color.  Loss is estimated at $2,000.00
