December 23, 2010 Salina Police Department Case Number - Numerous

Between November 23 and December 22, 2010, there have been sixteen reports of vehicle windows and five reports of residential windows being broken by rocks or bricks. Most of the damage has occurred overnight between Saturday night and Sunday morning in south Salina.  Damage is estimated at over $8,000.00.


December 17, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-4897

Sometime between 9:30 PM November 26, 2010 and 1:45 AM November 27, 2010 unknown suspect(s) broke out the passenger window of a vehicle in the parking lot at the Wild Wild West Gentleman's Club, 1540 W. Old 40 Highway in Saline County, KS.  A black pleather purse containing $65.00 cash, a diamond pendant, an MP3 player, a black leather billfold containing numerous credit cards and checks from Sunflower bank were stolen.  Estimated loss is $1,155.00.

December 10, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-28728

Sometime between 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM 12-8-10, a residential burglary was committed at 641 N. 9th. Unknown suspect(s) forced entry through a window on the back side of the house.  Once inside the following items were removed:  1- Black P95 9mm Ruger with 20 round magazine; 1 - Xbox 360 Console with the game "Wanted"; $600 cash: 4 - bottles of alcohol; 1 - Gray 1995 Houston Rockets #11 Yoa Ming jersey; 1 - Yellow light blue Denver Nuggets basketball jersey; 1 - Silver men's chain bracelet; 1 Men's white gold ring with two diamonds.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,800.00.

December 3, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-27292

Sometime during the night of November 17, 2010, a vehicle burglary was committed at The Sleep Inn, 3932 S. 9th. Unknown suspect(s) broke a window on a 2009 Ford pickup and removed the following items:  1 - Special Texas Rangers badge; 1 - white ice chest with "Charles Smith" written on the inside; 2 - duffle bags containing hunting clothing; 2 - Nikon digital cameras; 2 - pair Nikon binoculars; Shotgun shells; Knives; and several credit cards.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $3,900.00.

November 26, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-4397

Sometime between 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on October 26, 2010, someone entered the residence located at 9068 West Armstrong Road and stole the listed items from the residence.  A brown Duval reciprocating saw, a brown lever action BB gun, a Dell computer and flat screen monitor, a silver Jazz brand video camera, 25 DVDs and CDs or various artists and movie titles, a blue dolly with large pneumatic tires, a chop saw, a Harbor Freight brand surveillance camera, a handheld vacuum cleaner, an air powered nail gun, a DeWalt 10" circular saw, an antique typewriter, 30 4' x 8' chipboards, 5 vinyl windows shutters, and boxes of personal checks from Bank of Tescott and Security Savings.

November 19, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-27096

Sometime during the night of November 14, 2010, a burglary was committed at All Star Lanes, 624 S. Broadway.  A window was broken near the front door to gain entry.  Once inside, the suspect(s) removed a Toshiba Satellite laptop computer and a bank bag containing cash, checks, and credit card receipts.  A novelty game machine was also forcibly entered and the money was removed. Loss and damage is estimated at over $19,000.00.

November 12, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-26214

Sometime between October 1, 2010 and November 3, 2010, a theft was committed at 406 Forest.  The property is an open lot that is used to store construction equipment.  Someone entered the lot and hooked on to a 4 wheeled flat yellow Burkeen combination trencher/plow and removed it.  The unit has a trencher on one end and a vibrating plow on the other.  Loss is estimated at $4,000.00.

November 5, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-4520

Sometime between October 29th and November 2nd , 2010 unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a storage shed and trailer located at 2156 North Weaver Road in New Cambria.  The suspect(s) stole a white Maytag brand washing machine, a white Maytag brand dryer machine, 1200 assorted DVD's, a small book shelf and 3 boxes of miscellaneous dishes and crystal plates.  Estimated loss is $4,065.00.

October 29, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-25224

At about 2:48 PM 10-22-10, an aggravated burglary was committed at 216 Iowa.  The victim arrived home and was confronted in the kitchen by a suspect described as a black male, 20's , 5"10", 160lbs.  The suspect fled out the front door after seeing the victim.  Several items of jewelry were discovered missing to include a wedding ring, pearl necklace, butterfly necklace with matching earrings, silver Avon ring and a "Tiger eye stone" ring.  Loss is estimated at over $2200.

October 22, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-24885

Sometime between October 16 and October 18, 2010, a burglary was committed at Memorial Hall, 410 W. Ash.  Entry was gained thru a walk in door on the west side of the building.  Once inside, the suspects entered several offices and removed six Dell laptop computers and cash.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $7,000.00.

October 15, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-3690

Sometime between August 1st - September 4th, unknown suspect(s) broke into an abandoned residence located at 11932 South Gypsum Valley Road.  Once inside the Suspect(s) stole a Nikon 35 mm camera, 50 packages of 2lb hamburger packages with a white sticker saying "Stein", a Magnavox CD stereo, a 10 piece tap-n-dye tool set, and 2 boxes with miscellaneous hand tools.   Estimated loss is $1,360.00.

October 8, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-23598

Sometime during the night of October 2, 2010, a vehicle burglary was committed at The Sleep Inn, 3922 S. 9th.  The rear window of a 2004 GMC Yukon was broken and entry was made into the vehicle.  Once inside, the following items were taken:  1 - Spotting scope with tripod, 1 Binoculars and miscellaneous camping and fishing equipment.  Estimated loss and damage is $5,000.00.

October 1, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-23043

Sometime during the night of September 20, 2010, a theft was committed at 748 S. Front.   A gray 2007 Yamaha Vino 125cc scooter bearing 44AHD was taken from the front of the residence. In the last 3 months there have been nine scooters taken in a similar fashion.  Estimated loss is $2,000.00.

September 24, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-3833

Sometime during September 14th-15th, unknown suspect(s) entered a shed located at 4200 East Stimmel Road.  Once inside the suspect(s) stole two claw hammers, one unknown brand roofing hammer, one air blow nozzle, three pair of gray leather gloves, short pieces of copper wire, and 3 case of 4 - 1 gallon jugs of Phillips HD oil.  Also taken were two salvage tractor batteries and one salvage radiator for a 1970 's model Chevrolet pickup, 2 electric motors, 4 battery cables, and other miscellaneous items.  Estimated loss is $556.00.

September 17, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-21601

Sometime during the night of September 9, 2010, a theft was committed at Mid States Energy Works, 618 N. Santa Fe.  Unknown person(s) cut a hole in the chain link fence to gain access to the lot.  Once inside the fence, two sections of a large three phase SNC switch were removed.  The sections contain large copper and bronze saddle connections.  Estimated loss and damage is $6,000.00.

September 10, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-20134

Sometime during the night of August 23, 2010, a vehicle burglary was committed at Courtyard by Marriott, 3020 Riffel Drive.  Unknown person(s) broke a window and entered a 2007 Ford F-350 pickup and removed the following items:  1 - Scott brand combustible gas detector; 2 - Large toolboxes containing 1000 Phoenix Contact brand terminal blocks; 1 - Brady brand label maker; 1 - Unknown brand black laptop computer; and 1 - Black and tan canvas bag containing numerous hand tools.  Estimated loss and damage is over $9,000.00.


September 3, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-3201

On August 5th between 11:15 AM and 11:45 AM, unknown person(s) entered a residence located at 1649 North Halstead Road, Lot # 6.  Once inside the residence, the suspect(s) stole 6 $100.00 bills, a bag of various military patches with the name "Davis" on them, a K-Bar style combat knife with black wire wrapped around the handle and the name "Davis" on the end of the handle, and a book of personal checks that belong to Annalise Davis.  Estimated loss is $800.00.

August 27, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-19556

Sometime between August 15 and August 17, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 2728 Highland.  Unknown person(s) entered a storage shed in the back yard and removed the following items:  1 - John Deere riding lawn mower with 42" deck; 1 - Silver 21" Craftsman push mower and 1 - Red Toro snow blower.  Estimated lost is $7,700.00.

August 20, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-19038

Sometime during the night of August 11, 2010, a business burglary was committed at Beverage Carbonation Services, 1625 E. North.  Unknown person(s) entered the business and stole a red 2000 Dodge pickup, petty cash, popsicles, and frozen pizza,  The pickup was recovered the next day in the 200 clock of N. Phillips.  The suspects removed miscellaneous specialty hand tools, hoses and fittings from the pickup.  Estimated loss is over $9,700.00.

August 13, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-2867

Sometime between July 13th -  July 14th, unknown suspect(s) cut a padlock to the security gate at the Westar Energy Substation located at 5998 South Simpson Road.  The suspect(s) then stole 400 feet of #6, #8 and #10 conductor shielded copper wire.  Also stolen were 3 skinning knives, 2 leather utility belts, 2 leather utility pole straps, 2 pole hooks, 2 leather climber straps, 2 leather tool holsters and miscellaneous hand tools.  Estimated loss is $7,659.00.

August 6, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-18973, 2010-17867, 2010-17868, 2010-17869, 2010-17871, 2010-17873, 2010-17875, 2010-17926, 2010-17934, 2010-17935, 2010-18213, 2010-80254, 2010-80255.

Sometime during the evening of July 29 and early morning of July 30 twelve vehicles and one garage in southeast Saline were burglarized.  Majority of the items taken were FPS systems and I Pods.  The areas include Aurora, Roach, Falconview, Sherwood, Shalimar and Oak Streets.  Loss is estimated at $4,242.00.

July 31, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-17511

Sometime between July 18, and July 26, 2010, a theft was committed at Kansas Wesleyan University, 100 E. Claflin.  Unknown person(s) entered the media room in the Fine Arts Building and removed an iMac G5 computer system and a PowerMac G5 computer with 23" cinema display.  Loss is estimated at $4,600.00.

July 23, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-2945

Sometime between July 16th and July 19th, 2010, unknown person(s) cut a padlock to a construction trailer located at 2987 South Donmyer Road and removed a silver and orange Paslode framing stick nailer, a silver and orange Paslode 1/2" staple gun, a yellow DeWalt 12" sliding mitre saw with a missing handle, and a green Hitachi 10" table saw.  Estimated loss is $1,384.00.

July 16, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-16240

Sometime between July 10 and July 12, 2010, a business burglary was committed at Midwest Gutter, 248 N. Chicago when unknown person(s) forced entry through the overhead door.  Once inside, the following items were removed:  1 Porter/Cable air nailing gun; 2 Craftsman pot belly air compressors; 1 Red Milwaukee hole hog drill; 1 Milwaukee 1/2" drill; 2 Yellow DeWalt 18 volt cordless drills.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,200.00.

July 9, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-15542

Sometime between 9:00 AM July 4 and 8:00 AM July 5, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 1105 West Ash.  Unknown person or persons entered the garage and removed a Scott Air Pack self-contained breathing apparatus.  The air pack has a set of gauges with red and yellow buttons and is in a black harness.  Estimated loss is $4,500.00.

July 2, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-2097

Sometime between May 9th and May23rd, unknown suspect(s) entered two storage sheds located at 5724 W. Humbarger Road.  The unknown suspect(s) took the following items:  a dark green colored 19.5 horse powered Craftsman 48" Riding Mower; a homemade 4' X 8' utility trailer with a wood floor and welded rails; a green colored two-man plastic bass boat with a Minn Kota trolling motor and a red colored Brush Ho pull behind mower.

June 25, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-14137

Sometime during the night of June 20, 2010 , a theft was committed at Mid-States Energy, 618 North Santa Fe.  Unknown person or persons cut a hole in the chain link fence to gain entry into the lot.  Once inside the lot, they removed 2 large copper disconnect links, 5 fused links, 6 double pull disconnects and 12 single pull disconnects.  These items are large and are used in transformer stations.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $11,000.00.

June 18, 2010 Saline Police Department Case# 2010-13256

Sometime between June 9 and June 11, 2010,  a residential burglary was committed at 2420 Cedar Ridge.  Unknown person or persons broke out a window to gain entry into the residence.  Once inside, the suspects removed a Bravia LCD TV, a men's gold diamond ring, a women's gold diamond wedding ring, and a men's gold CYMA watch.  Loss and damage is estimated at $2,950.00.

June 11, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-2194 and 2010-2111

Sometime between May 15th - May 24th, unknown suspect(s) entered the old Brookville Hotel, located at 204 North Perry in Brookville, and stole a black Dewalt air compressor, a 100' air hose, black Dewalt battery charger, a black Dewalt 18 volt rechargeable battery, a black Dewalt 1-12" Mitre saw, a power transformer, 2 Stanley tool cases, drill bit case, and a conduit bender.

A residence located at 412 West 3rd in Brookville had 100 pounds of various cuts of beef stolen from a freezer.  The meat was processed at the Glasco Meat Locker with a sticker on the packages saying "packaged for Wes Woodson".

Total estimated loss for both cases: $5,700.00.


June 4, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-12111

At about 11:07 PM May 29, 2010 and aggravated robbery was committed in front of 121 S. Kansas.  The victim is a taxi driver and was sent to 121. S. Kansas to pickup a fare.  He saw a white male, about 18 years old, standing in front of the residence holding two duffle bags.  The suspect was wearing a whit t-shirt and blue jean shorts.  The victim got out of the vehicle to help load the duffle bags when he was approached by two other white males, about 18 years old one wearing a black hoodie and blue jean shorts and the other wearing a white hoodie and blue jean shorts.  One of the struck him with a baseball bat and demanded his money.  All three then ran from the scene.

May 28, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-11126

At about 2:30 PM May 19, 2010 an aggravated residential burglary was committed at 201 Pine Ridge Drive.  When the resident arrived home, she was encountered by a suspect in the kitchen.  The suspect struck her on the head with a sauce pan and fled out the back door.  He is described as B/M in his late teens, 6'1" tall, 160 lbs., and wearing a green hoodie sweatshirt.

May 21, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-1100

Sometime between March 19 and 20, 2010 an unknown suspect(s) entered a barn located at 2535 South Wyman Road.  The suspect(s) stole a green Yamaha 400cc Kodiak 4-wheeler.  The 4-wheeler has a large lug tires, a silver front push bumper and a mounted spot light on the front rack.  Also stolen was a black Sears brand battery charger and a red air bubble.

May 14, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-10511

Sometime between 6:00 AM and 2:30 PM May 12, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 3213 Foxboro.  Unknown person or persons forced entry through the front door.  Once inside the residence, the following items were removed:  1 Playstation 3 and 10 games; 1 Acer mini laptop; 1 White gold marquise solitaire diamond ring; 1 Dooney and Bourke bi-fold wallet and contents.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $4,100.00.

May 7, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-9779

Sometime between 3:45 PM and 4:00 PM May 4, 2010 a vehicle burglary was committed at Shotz Bar and Grill, 716 North 12th.  Unknown person or person entered an unsecured vehicle and removed the following items:  JVL Retro counter-top video game machine;  Crème colored pouch containing $200; and a handicap parking permit.  Loss is estimated at over $3,600.00

April 30, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-1657

Sometime between April 23rd and April 24th a residence located at 3601 West State Street in Saline County, KS was burglarized and numerous items were stolen.  Taken during the burglary were two tan in color "fire safe" boxes containing personal documents and a Kansas salvage title belong to a Ford Ranger.  Also taken from the residence were miscellaneous rings, watches, jewelry, a Visa credit card, and personal bank checks.  The total estimated loss from this burglary is $615.00

April 16, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-6903

Sometime between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM April 2, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 417 S. 12th Apt. F.  Unknown person(s) gained entry by kicking in the front door.  Once inside, the following items were removed:  1 - LG 50" Plasma TV, 1-Acer Laptop computer, and 1 pair white tennis shoes.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $4,200.00.

April 9, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-1045

On March 18th, 2010 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM a residence located at 4740 Sunflower Rd. in Saline County, Kansas was burglarized and numerous items were stolen.  Some of the property taken during this burglary were two General Electric police radios with chargers, an Enfield 30.06 bolt action rifle, a Remington .22 caliber rifle, an antique 12 gauge pump action shotgun, a Garman GPS, and numerous items of jewelry and cash.  The total estimated loss from this burglary is $6,250.00.

April 2, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-6624

On March 30, 2010 between 12:30 PM and 5:25 PM, a residential burglary was committed at 936 Twin Oaks Drive.  Entry was gained by forcing open a door.  Once inside the following items were removed:  Ithaca 12 gauge shotgun, Cash, Gold pieces, Nextar GPS, HP laptop and a Jewelry box with miscellaneous jewelry.  Loss and damage is estimated at about $3,500.00

March 26, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-5789

Between March 14, 2010 and March 19, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 111 N. Wisconsin, Apartment 101.  Entry was gained through a window and once inside the following items were removed:  Sanyo 32" TV; Sanyo Digital Converter Box; Sylvania DVD Player; Sanyo DVD player, Solaris Spiral Saw; Red and Black Laser Trac Level; and a GE Microwave oven.  Loss and damage is estimated at about $600.00.

March 19, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-973

Sometime between March 12th and March 14th, 2010 a rented summer home located at Lake Wassey, 1288 E. Lapsley was burglarized and numerous items were stolen.  Some of the items taken during the burglary were 800 DVD movies, a black 42" ADC Flat Screen TV, a gray IBM Think Pad and Dell Lap Top Computer, a black Uniden Bearcat Police Scanner, a blued Hi Point 9mm handgun, an RG Industries .38 caliber snub nose handgun, and numerous personal and household items.  The total estimated loss from this burglary is $10,300.00.

March 12, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-4808

Sometime between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM March 6, 2010, a burglary was committed at Kansas Wesleyan University, 100 E. Claflin.  Unknown person(s) forcibly entered two offices in the basement of Peters Science Hall.  Once inside, a black InFocus video projector was removed.  Loss and damage is estimated at $1,100.


March 5, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-4430

Sometime between 6:50 AM and 3:00 PM March 2, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 914 Riverside.  Unknown person(s) gained entry by kicking in the front door.  Once inside, the following items were removed:  1 - DXG Camcorder; 1 - Nikon compact digital camera; 1 - Dell laptop computer with wide screen; 1 - Winchester folding knife; 1 - Smith and Wesson folding knife; 1 - Cubic Zirconium ring and 4 - Playstation II games.  Loss is estimated at over $1,100.00.

February 26, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-407

Sometime between January 10th and February 1st, unknown person(s) broke into an enclosed trailer owned by D.R.C.L. Electric which was located at 1357 West Old 40 Highway.  The suspect(s) stole a 100 foot extension cord, a GFIC box with cord, 4 rolls of 1/0 wire which equaled 440 feet of wire and 4 red top car batteries.  Estimated loss is $1,719.00.

February 19, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-3265

Sometime between February 11 and February 14, 2010, a theft occurred at the University United Methodist Church, 1509 S. Santa Fe, when unknown person (s) removed an ANSI 5500 projector and ultra long focus lens from a wall mount in the chapel.  Loss is estimated at over $9,900.00.


February 12, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-2896

Sometime during the day of February 9, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 1213 Talley.  Unknown person or persons forced open a patio door and entered the residence.  Once inside, the following items were removed: 1 - Panasonic 42" flat screen TV; 3 - Cellular telephones; 1 - Panasonic digital video camera; 1 - Panasonic digital camera; 1 - Computer printer; 1 - Smith and Wesson shotgun; 1 Marlin 30-30 rifle; 1 - .22 caliber rifle; 2 - BB guns and $317 cash.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $3,100.00.

February 5, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-169

Sometime between January 4, 2010 and January 14, 2010 unknown person(s) broke into 17 RV campers located at Lorenson Industries at 461 East Avenue A.  The suspect(s) forced their way into the RV campers causing damage to the doors and stole 7 TV's ranging from 13" to 32" and Emerson DVD player.  Estimated loss is $7,000.00.

January 29, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-1204

Sometime between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM January 15, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 114 W. Stimmel.  Unknown person or persons entered the residence and removed the following items:  3-Antique silver necklaces, 1-1956 Salina High School class ring, 1-women's gold Rolex watch, 1-Antique gold men's watch, 1-Antique gold women's watch and numerous 1930"s silver dollars.  Loss is estimated at $2,500.00

January 22, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-1204

Sometime during the night of January 17, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 509 Yale.  Unknown person or persons gained entry by breaking out a window to the front door.  Once inside, the following items were removed:  1-Yellow gold wedding band with several small diamonds, 1-Browning 7 mm magnum rifle and 1-Remington 870 shotgun.  Loss is estimated at over $1,500.00

January 15, 2010 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2010-113

Sometime between January 7tha and January 9th, 2010 a barn located on the property at 9041 E. Shipton Road was burglarized and numerous items were stolen.  Taken during the burglary were 22 gray cattle panels, a silver bunk cattle feeder, a 40 bushel bin from a Baldwin combine mounted to a trailer, a 1947 red in color W4 International tractor, and 2003 Target car trailer with a black frame, wooden bed, chain boxes, and the trailer was equipped with a winch.  The total estimated loss  from the theft is $14,300.00.

January 8, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2010-178

Sometime between December 31, 2009 and January 3, 2010, a theft occurred at 820 W. Ash.  Unknown person or persons took a red 2007 8' X 12' Cargo Express enclosed trailer that was parked in front of the residence.  The trailer has diamond plating on both sides and has a National Guard vanity plate on the rear.  The trailer contained various electronics, appliances, and other household items.  Loss is estimated at over $12,000.00.   Below is a picture of a similar trailer.

 

January 1, 2010 Salina Police Department Case# 2009-32599

Sometime during the night of December 27, 2009 a trailer was taken from the lot at 325 North Santa Fe.  The trailer is a 15' aluminum car transport type with removable side fenders.  A spare tire is mounted on the jack stand on the tongue.   Loss is estimated at $6000.00.
