December 28, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-48279

Sometime between December 20 and December 22, 2012, a residential burglary was committed at 815 Custer.  The garage was entered and the following items were taken: 1 - Craftsman toolbox and tools, 2 Kennedy toolboxes and tools, 1 - black Trek Fuel 70 mountain bicycle and 1 - blue Haro freestyle bicycle.   Loss is estimated at over $5,900.00.

December 21, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office 2012-21815

Sometime between the late evening hours of December 5, 2012 and the early morning hours of December 6, 2012 several items were stolen from a cellular telephone tower site in the 5000 block of East Crawford.  Items stolen include:  Stihl cut off saw; Stihl chainsaw; DeWalt battery powered drill and reciprocating saw; Laser level; Canvas tool bag containing various ratchets, sockets, and wrenches; (13) Small and large carabineers; (2) Transit sticks.  Total loss is $11,700.00.

December 14, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-45818

Sometime between November 26, 2012 and December 3, 2012, a burglary was committed at a Rodeway Inn storage building, 1846 North 9th Street.  Entry was gained by forcing open the front door.  Once inside the following items were stolen:  Bed sheets, towels and linen sets;  Aiwa speaker system;  Two Office Max chairs;  Twenty four unknown make telephones;  Various hand tools and electric tools;  Three Samsun 42" LCD televisions;  Forty reams of papers;  Five sets of Faberware kitchen cookware;  Two Westinghouse 32" televisions; and a Sony wireless speaker system.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $9,200.00.

December 7, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-45702

Sometime during the night of December 1, 2012 a burglary was committed at a construction site at 1510 Sky Court.  An enclosed trailer was forced open and a red Craftsman 15 gallon air compressor, two red space heaters, two gray Craftsman belt sanders, and a Black and Decker poser saw and drill were taken.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,000.00.

November 30, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-18480

Sometime between October 18 and October 19, 2012, unknown person(s) stole a detached frontend loader bucket for a Great Bend tractor located in the 600 block of South Woodward Road.  Loss is estimated at $1,200.00.

November 23, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-44048

Sometime during the night of November 17, 2012, a burglary was committed at 1015 W. Ash.  Entry was gained into a storage shed in the back yard and the following items were taken:  General Roto sewer drain cleaner; Troy Bilt push mower; Craftsman snow blower; Stihl weed eater; Stihl leaf blower; Blue and white Huffy bicycle.  Loss is estimated at over $1,700.00

November 16, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-43118

Sometime between October 28 and November 10, 2012, a burglary was committed at a storage unit at City Wide Self Storage, 440 N. Ohio   The latch to the unit was damaged and entry was gained.  Taken were Crates 3 way speakers, American DJ amplifier.  American Audio duel deck CD player with mixer.  Vertigo center piece light, Karaoke CD's, microphones, and miscellaneous DJ equipment.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $6,900.00.
 

November 9, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-16469

Sometime during the late evening hours of September 18, 2012, to the early morning hours of September 19, 2012, KASA Fabrication, 304 E. Ave. A Was burglarized.  Several Klein hand tools, a blue and silver AC Delco floor jack, jumper cables, 4-way lug wrench, and a nylon tow strap were stolen.  Also stolen from the property was a 2003 silver Dodge Ram 3500 flatbed diesel truck bearing KS tag, 431 ECJ.  KASA was painted in black paint on both sides of the truck.  Total loss is estimated at $18,400.00.

November 2, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-41307

Sometime between October 23 and October 27, 2012, a residential burglary was committed at 909 Kenison.  A storage shed in the fenced in back yard was entered and a green and black 2002 Kawasaki KX 65 Dirt bike and a gray 21 speed Felt mountain bike were taken.  Total loss is estimated at $1,800.00.

October 26, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-40917

Sometime between October 13 and October 24, 2012, a burglary was committed at 2771 Centennial.  Three industrial air compressor units on the outside of the building were dismantled and the copper lines and coils were removed.  Entry was then gained into the building and 40 Exide 12 volt deep cycle batteries were taken.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $113,000.00.

October 19, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-17903

Sometime between October 9th at 7:45 PM and October 10th at 7:45 AM,. unknown suspect(s) stole a self-contained portable welder that was on a 2 wheel trailer from a construction site located along I-70 at mile post 237.  The welder is blue and black in color.  The welder is mounted on a dark gray 2 wheel trailer.  Estimated loss: $3,023.00.

October 12, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-39058

Sometime during the night of October 9, 2012 a burglary was committed at 737 Huehl Circle.  An enclosed trailer that was parked in the driveway was entered and a Pitts Python radio controlled biplane and radio controller were taken.  The biplane was found in the street and had extensive damage.  A vehicle parked in the driveway  was also entered and a Dual brand stereo was removed.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $2,600.00.

October 5, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-37222

Sometime between September 17 and September 24, 2012, a burglary was committed at 1399 Armory Road.  A back door was forced open and once inside, the following items were removed:  Craftsman toolbox with various hand tools and a Puma 3 HP 20 gallon air compressor.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,700.00.

September 28, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-16649

On September 18th between 1:40 AM and 4:00 AM unknown suspect(s) cut the fence to KASA Fabrications, located at 304 East Ave B, and stole a white 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 flatbed truck with Kansas license tag 431 ECJ.  The truck had KASA written on both sides of the doors in black letters.  The suspect(s) also entered a building and removed Klein brand screwdrivers, nut drivers, wife strippers and wire cutters.  Other unknown brand of hand tools were stolen also.  Estimated loss: $18,486.00.

September 21, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# Numerous

Sometime during the night of September 5, 2012, a business burglary was committed at Glam On the Go, 745 E. Prescott.  Entry was forced and once inside an Acer laptop computer and two miter saws were taken.  Sometime during the next night of September 6, 2012 Accounts Receivable Services, 806 E Crawford and Allstate, 804 E. Crawford were forcibly entered.  Items taken were a Toshiba Laptop computer, bank bag containing cash and checks, Coolermaster computer tower, digital camera, three hard drives, two memory chips and a computer processor.  Total Loss and damage is estimated at over $4,200.00

September 14, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-34967

Sometime during the night of September 6, 2012, a business burglary was committed at Womack Sunshine, 632 S. Ohio.  Forced entry was made into the metal storage building and five motorcycles were taken.  Two have been recovered and the following are still missing:  Black 2011 Kawasaki Classic 900; Black/Silver 2011 Kawasaki Classic 900 and a Black 2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $52,000.00.

September 7, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-15417

Sometime between August 17th and September 1st, 2012, unknown suspect(s) cut a section of barb wire fence located at 6401 North Ohio Street and stole 20 redwood planks.  The redwood planks are 20 foot long 2X10 planks.  Estimated loss and damages:  $1,300.00

August 31, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-33925

Sometime during the night of August 29, 2012, a white 1997 Ford F-350 flatbed pick-up was taken from Professional Sprinkler Installation, 146 S. 3rd.  The vehicle has the logo "PSI" on the doors and the passenger window may also be broken out.  Loss is estimated at over $4,000.00.

August 24, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-31469

Sometime between August 9 and August 11, 2012, a residential burglary was committed at 921 Hemlock.  Unknown suspects entered the residence and forced open a gun cabinet and removed a .22 caliber Ruger Mark II pistol, a 9mm Beretta pistol, a .357 Smith and Wesson revolver, and a Colt .45 Gold Cup 70 series pistol.  Also taken from the residence was a Zune MP4 player, a Sony DVD player and a Sony 1000 watt amp.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $6,000.00.

August 17, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-14167 and 2012-14219

Sometime between August 13th and August 14th a residence located at 4121 North Niles Road was broken into along with multiple storage sheds.  The suspect(s) stole several thousand pounds of scrap metal that totaled a loss of over $6,500.00.  Also stolen was an antique Singer sewing machine, a Stihl 24" chainsaw, one still in the box Poulan chainsaw and one used Poulan chainsaw, a metal Coca-Cola cooler, a tuba music instrument, a pallet of salvaged automotive batteries, and various other household goods.  Estimated loss is approximately $12,185.00.

August 10, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-30462

At about 1:38 AM on August 5, 2012, a theft occurred in the 100 block of N. Santa Fe.  A bronze statue titled "Time to smell the roses" was taken.  It was removed from the base and was believed to have been put into the back of a black Honda mini van.  On August 7, 2012 the statute was found at First Covenant Church, 2652 E. Magnolia.  The statute is valued at $6,000.00.

August 3, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-30015

Sometime during the night of August 1, 2012, a burglary was committed at 417 W. Euclid.  The building is being used for storage and was forcibly entered and the following items were taken:  1-Yellow Honda moped; 2-Upright tool boxes with various tools; 12-Aluminum wheels; 1-25'aluminum extension ladder.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $2,700.00.

July 27, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-12819

Between June 14, 2012 and July 24, 2012, a detached garage to a residence in New Cambria, KS was burglarized.  Items stolen from the garage were:  DeWalt 12" sliding compound miter saw with stand; DeWalt 14 and 18 volt cordless batteries with chargers; Welding helmet; 3/4" silver impact wrench; Paint gun with a white tank and silver nozzle; Small acetylene torch in red case; 4,000 watt 212 cc red generator; 18' Ridgid pipe wrench; Timing light in red case; Set of Freon gauges; Airless paint gun; Hose reel with 200 feet of hose; 25lb bottle of Freon/R134a coolant; 14 volt unknown brand cordless tool set with drill, saw, light and battery; 1/2" Snap-On break over bar; 20 gauge flooring nail gun; AC Vacuum pump, silver with black end.
Total loss of the burglary is $2,756.00.

July 20, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-27209

Sometime between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM July 13, 2012, a residential burglary was committed at 537 Crestwood.  Entry was made and $578 cash, 5-14k yellow gold rings, 3 pair 14k gold earrings, 1-10k white gold ring and 1-sterling silver ring were taken.  Loss is over $3,900.00


July 13, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-26729

Sometime between 7:00 A and 4:00 PM July 10, 2012 a residential burglary was committed at 3034 Stone Creek.  Unknown suspects entered the residence and removed the following items:  2-50" flat screen TV's; 1-.40 caliber Beretta semi-automatic handgun; 1-Wii game system and games; 10PS3 game system and games; 3-Laptop computers; 3-Digital cameras; 1-DVD player and movies; 1-Tom Tom GPS; 1-Verizon Tablet; 1-Yellow gold diamond necklace.  Loss is estimated at over $2,000.00.

July 6, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-11455

Sometime on June 30, 2012, between 1:00 AM and 9:30 AM, unknown person(s) stole a 2010 Yamaha YFZ450X 4-wheeler from a residence located at 212 North Highland in Assaria, Kansas.  The 4-wheeler is blue in color with multi-colored undercarriage lights and one broken headlight.  The keys were also left in the 4-wheeler.  Estimated loss: $5,000.00.

June 29, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-24667

Sometime during the night of June 26, 2012, a business burglary was committed at Vulcan Manufacturing, 1007 W. North.  The business was forcibly entered and a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 flatbed dually and two Milwaukee electric impact wrenches were taken.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $10,200.00.

June 22, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-22988

Sometime during the night of June 14, 2012, a burglary was committed at 2058 Leland Way.  A storage shed was entered and a green 2008 Yamaha 350cc four wheel ATV and a 15 amp battery charger were taken.  Loss is estimated at over $3,000.00.

June 15, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-8561

Sometime between May 18th and May 19th unknown suspect(s) broke into multiple campers located at Lorenson Industries, 461 East Avenue A.    The suspect(s) stole a 26" Sony Bravada LCD TV valued at $400.  The suspect(s) also caused $1,050.00 worth of damage to the campers.  Estimated loss and damage: $1,450.00.

June 8, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-20714 & 2012-20747

Sometime during the night of May 30, 2012, a vehicle burglary was committed at 832 Kenison.  A window was broken out of a work van and the following items were taken.  Bosch cordless drill, Bosch cordless impact drill, Bosch cordless sawzall, Bosch cordless oscillating hand tool, 3 extra batteries, Malco power scissors .  During this same time, another vehicle burglary was committed at 651 S. Front.  A window was also broken out of a work van and a Paslode nail gun, Milwaukee sawzall and assorted hand tools were taken.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,700.00

June 1, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-20532

Sometime during the night of May 29, 2012, a business burglary was committed at Kenny's Auto Body, 615 E. Pacific.  The building was forcibly entered through a window on the west side.  Once inside, two sets of vehicle keys were taken.  These keys were then used to steal a black 2003 Chevrolet 1500 Z71 4X4 extended cab pickup and a white 2003 Chevrolet 2500 4X4 extended cab pickup.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $16,000.00.

May 25, 2012 Saline County Sheriff Case# 2012-7616

Sometime between May 1st at 5:30 PM and May 2nd at 10:00 AM unknown suspect(s) broke into a Duralast tool box located in the bed of a 2007 Chevy Silverado.  The truck was parked in the parking lot of Frisbie Construction, 7793 East K-4 Highway.  The suspect(s) stole a DeWalt 1/2" cordless impact drill, a Craftsman ratchet set, a Snap-On ratchet set, and a new MSD distributor for a Chevy engine.  The tools had the initials DK engraved on them. The lost and damage is estimated at  $3,012.00

May 18, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-18543

Sometime during the night of May 17, 2012, a burglary was committed at Sysco, 300 N. 9th street.  A small storage shed was forcibly entered and a Garmin GPS, silver clipboard, and keys to a delivery truck were taken.  The truck was then entered and a driving camera, satellite radio, and jumper cables were removed.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,800,00

May 11, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-17182

Sometime between May 5 and May 7, 2012, a business burglary was committed at Bennett Autoplex II, 509 S. Broadway.  A piece of concrete was thrown through the front window allowing someone to reach in and take a Toshiba Satellite laptop computer from a desk top.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,000.00.

May 4, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-4580

Sometime between March 14th at 3:00 PM and March 15th at 12:00 PM, unknown suspect(s) stole approximately 1000 lbs of oil rig equipment from a pump station located at 12137 South Burma Road.  The equipment consisted of two large metal weights referred to as the "horses head", two 4' long metal rails, and a cast iron salt water dump valve.  Total loss is estimated at $1,500.00

April 28, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-15867

Sometime between 2:00 PM and 5:10 PM April 26, 2012, a residential burglary was committed at 8:25 N. 11th.  A bedroom window was forced open to gain entry.  A gray safe containing cash, a Ruger Redhawk 44 magnum with scope, and  miscellaneous papers were removed.  Total loss and damage is estimated at over $5,100.00.

April 20, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-13912

Sometime during the night of April 12, 2012, a theft was committed at 1100 Park.  A red 1987 Yahmaha Razz moped and a maroon and silver Sunl moped were removed from the side of the residence.  Loss is estimated at $1,000.00.

April 13, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-6730

Sometime during the night of February 21, 2012, a vehicle theft was committed at Money Automotive Center, 2222 S. 9th.  Taken was a clack 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD LT pickup equipped with an L/G grill guard.  There was no tag on the vehicle however the VIN is available.    Loss is estimated at over $13,000.00.

April 6, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-12475

Sometime during the night of April 1, 2012, a residential burglary was committed at 1516 Pueblo.  The residence was forcibly entered and the following items were removed:  Nintendo Wii with controllers and games; Xbox 360 and games; 24K gold necklace; 24k gold bracelet; and 42" flat screen TV.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $7,300.00.

March 30, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012*11586

Sometime between March 16 and March 25, 2012, a residential burglary was committed at 707 Banner Circle.  Entry was made by unknown means and the following items were removed:  Xbox 360 Pro, with 3 controllers and 71 games; $1,000.00 in coin; Princess cut Cubic Zirconia ring; BB gun; Airsoft gun; custom made Japanese knife; and Superman and Batman comic books.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $3,500.00.

March 23, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-2828

Sometime between February 12th - 20th, unknown person(s) entered a farm house and a shed located at 4288 East Mariposa Road.  The suspect(s) stole approximately 3 tons of scrap metal, a Husqvarna model 700 DRT roto-tiller, 2 100 pound stainless steel water tanks and an old washer and dryer from the farmstead.  Estimated loss is $1,400.00.

March 16, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-9226

Sometime between 11:00 AM and 10:00 PM March 9, 2012, a burglary was committed at 1211 W. Ash.  Force was used to enter the residence and the following items were taken:  Red Rider BB gun; Crossman pellet gun with scope; Milwaukee sawsall; 100 rolls of State quarters and a Personal checkbook.  Damage and loss is estimated at over $1,600.00

March 9, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-7739
Sometime during the night of February 29, 2012, a theft was committed at The Car Shoppe, 342 N. Broadway.  A 30' 2010 white Sportsman camper was removed from the lot.   The camper is a bumper hitch style and was being renovated and contained no appliances or furniture.  Loss is estimated at $16,000.00.

March 2, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2012-2813 and 2012-2817

During the evening hours between Friday 19th-20th, unknown person(s) cut eight tires on two school buses at the Ell-Saline Grade School located at 1757 North Halstead Road.  The same evening suspect(s) cut eight tires on four school buses at the Ell-Saline High School located at 412 East Anderson, Brookville.  Estimated loss: $4,800.00.

February 24, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-80066

Sometime between February 20 and February 22, 2012, a theft was committed at Kansas State University-Salina, 2310 Centennial Road. A business office was entered and a Nikon D40X digital camera, Nikon telephoto lens and camera bag were taken.  Loss is estimated at $700.00.

February 17, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-5857

Sometime during the night of February 15, 2012, a vehicle burglary was committed at 817 Willis.  A brick was thrown through the passenger window and a black flight bag was taken.  The flight bag contained a Light speed Zulu headset, electronic aviation computer, and numerous charts, manuals and checklists.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,750.00.

February 10, 2012 Saline County Sheriff's Office Case# 2011-6893 and 2011-7943

Between November 14, 2011 and December 15, 2011 a rural residence in the 9000 block of south Simpson Road was burglarized on two different occasions.  Items stolen from the residence include:  22' extension ladder; Antique wood buffet; 100' yellow extension cord with a 22 volt plug; 50' yellow extension cord; Antique tube radio in a wooden case; (2) cream colored antique lamps; (4) large wooden picture frames; 30 gallon Redwing Crock; (2) 3/8 inch electric drills.  Total loss for the two burglaries is $2,600.00.

February 3, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-3772

Sometime during the night of January 29, 2012, a vehicle burglary was committed at 232 E. Beloit.  A rock was thrown through the passenger window and a purse and 10 CD's were taken.  The purse contained cash, a Nintendo Game Boy micro with two games, an HTC Hero cell phone and a Blackberry Curve cell phone.  Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,100.00.

January 27, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# Numerous

Between January 5 and January 25, 2012, there have been five reports of damage to property at First Baptist Church, 843 Lewis and Sunrise Presbyterian Church, 825 East Beloit.  Windows and light fixtures have been damage in each case.  In three of the cases, two teenage males were seen running from the area.  Damage is estimated at over $4,700.00.

January 13, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# 2012-1002

Sometime during the night of January 8, 2012, an aggravated burglary was committed at 1122 S. Marymount.  Unknown suspects entered the residence and removed an Xbox 360 with two controllers, Samsung flip phone, Dell laptop computer, Casio watch, cash and an Adidas duffel bag containing miscellaneous men's clothing.  Loss is estimated at over $1,000.00.

January 6, 2012 Salina Police Department Case# Numerous

Sometime during the night of January 4, 2012, eight vehicles were damaged on Phillips St., Highland Ave and the surrounding area.  Vehicle windows wer broken with a BB or other projectile.  Total damage is estimated at over $1,725.00.
