The Saline County Sheriff's Office Mounted Patrol and Rescue Squad consists of twenty volunteers that participate in rescue efforts on land and water. They have boats, horses and other associated equipment for a myriad of rescue situations.

The Mounted Patrol and Rescue Squads are frequently used to locate missing persons as well as fugitives. The group also participates in ceremonial activities such as parades and fairs as well as providing security at these events.

The group is currently lead by Doug Philbrook, Commander and Ray Laskowski, Vice Commander.
Captain Brian Shea is the Sheriff's Office Liaison with the Mounted Patrol and Rescue Squad.
