Salina Public Library and Saline County Sheriff
The Saline County Sheriff's Office and the Salina Public Library have entered into a partnership where the Sheriff's Office will be offering classes. These classes will be held on April 24, 2008, May 1, 2008 and on May 8, 2008. Each class will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. The location of the class will be announced later.

Class Description:Have you ever wondered just exactly what goes on inside the Saline County Sheriff’s Office? This course will give you an overview of all of our divisions, their duties and services we offer to the public. There will be three sessions. The first session will provide information about Patrol, Corrections and Administration. The second session will be “Safety Night” and we’ll discuss home safety, gun safety, Internet safety, etc. The third session will cover juvenile issues including juvenile law, the LEAD program, Juvenile Detention and the juvenile justice system. This will be an excellent opportunity to get answers to any questions that you may have about law enforcement!Classes will primarily be taught by Alyssa LeClair, Administrative Lieutenant for the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. She has 13 years of law enforcement experience, a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an MBA. She has worked as a Corrections Officer, Patrol Officer, Training Officer, School Resource Officer, and Director of the Juvenile Detention Center. Guest instructors will include: Patrol Officers, Corrections Officers and an Investigator. |
